As for Şahin not being signed by us:

09.57 BST: On the matter of Sahin, who was linked with Arsenal, Arsene Wenger has said the following: “If we wanted to sign Sahin, we would have done it. Sahin is a quality player but he is not a purely defensive midfielder. We have Jack Wilshere coming back and he is a similar type of player. If someone top-top class turns up, completely defensive, then we will consider it.”

Oh, I’m sure that’ll be talked about by the fans, media & pundits.  What say you, Liverpool, you only got him because we didn’t want him. Yeah, take that Liverpool!  Although it’s hard to see you at the moment as you currently occupy the foot of the table. You’ll Never Be At The Bottom Alone!  CRISIS! (looks away awkwardly)

I guess that article saying Wenger looking for an “orthodox” defensive midfielder was true after all.  Yes, because Wenger has never equivocated before.  Ever. 😉

But what’s this? Ermahgerd! Why Ki-Seung Yeung signed with Swansea over us?!  The club must definitely be in the crisis! (Facepalm)  Cue the “massive blow” to the Arsenal that this non-signing is, amirite?!  AMIRITE?!
